While genital herpes has been known as a killer to both men and women, the female victims have the most serious cases. They face higher risks, and in most cases suffer a lot.

Since the virus is transmitted through sexual encounters either oral, vaginal, or anal, the rate of contagion is much greater.  If the men caught herpes, they can transmit it easily to women because the rate of transmission from men to women is more efficient than that from female to male.

Men don’t have the ability to bear a child just like women do. And unlike men, the genital herpes woman and her expected child can be utterly helpless from the effects of genital herpes. Women suffering from this condition usually experience the genital itch, vaginal discharges, and even painful urination. At most cases, the painful and burning sensation in the genital region are accompanied by the outbreak of red bumps which later on develop into blisters. These blisters form into sores, which in the end leave lesions and ulcers around the genitals and even in the cervix.

Don’t you think it is too much for women to bear such burden? Perhaps yes. But is there anything we can do to stop sex? If there’s only an existing rule prohibiting sex for everyone, maybe we can somehow stop the spread of the herpes virus and spare women from this doom. But to think there’s none, then it becomes really difficult.

This doesn’t imply that women deserve to suffer from herpes. Rather, it serves as a wakeup call for men that in every sexual activity done without the use of safety measures, this can lead to the suffering of women. 

In the first place, it takes two to tango, and such viral transmission doesn’t take place if there is no sex.
